Hello and a warm welcome. My name is Dr Paul Young, and I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (MNCPS Acc.), Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), coach, and academic specialising in stress management, resilience, and wellbeing.
I work with high performers — including business executives, athletes, and professionals — who find that anxiety, stress, or burnout is affecting how they want to live, work, and perform. Alongside my role as a sessional therapist at The Priory Hospital Roehampton, I offer private online therapy and coaching sessions for individuals seeking meaningful, evidence-based support.

Background and Expertise
I have particular expertise in helping people experiencing anxiety, stress, and burnout, as well as difficulties with self-criticism, low confidence, and self-esteem. I am trained to work with a range of anxiety-related presentations, including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, performance anxiety, panic, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I also support clients with emotional difficulties such as anger, guilt, shame, and hurt, alongside challenges including perfectionism and imposter syndrome.
My approach is practical, compassionate, and skills-based, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Together, we identify the thought patterns and behaviours that may be keeping you stuck, while developing healthier alternatives aligned with your values, goals, and way of life.
Before retraining as a therapist and psychologist, I spent ten years working within demanding corporate environments. This experience gives me a strong understanding of the pressures many professionals face as they try to balance performance, wellbeing, and personal responsibilities.
In addition to my clinical work, I am also a published academic in the field of corporate mental health coaching, having completed my PhD in this area.
Services and Approach
